They can review how their choices will affect their flex fund and their net pay before making a final selection. The employee has unlimited ability to ‘model’ until they are happy to make their final submission choice.

The application is essentially self-service driven, following the popular ‘online shopping’ concept, with opportunities to link directly to benefit providers’ websites for further information. Guidance, HR Policy and web links can be added giving the employee information for decisions at their fingertips.

Once the configuration is complete and the system installed, most information transfers are carried out automatically and instantly. 

You can make quick and simple updates to reflect changes to benefit rules and rates arising from changes instigated by benefit providers and your own policy reviews.

We also provide automatic statutory updates to keep you within relevant legislation.

 

The workflow programme in MyChoice announces and reminds employees about their responsibilities on a schedule set by your administrators. 

This helps solves the problem of eligible employees forgetting to make their benefit choices.

The implementation of MyChoice occurs in 4 different stages which are all overseen and managed by the Project Management team.

The four stages are:

  • Scoping – detailed documentation of the customer requirements
  • Build – application, installation and configuration and data migration
  • Review – an internal NorthgateArinso review is followed by customer User Acceptance Testing
  • Live – employee enrolment is followed by transfer of data back to payroll and provider reporting.

Continuing NorthgateArinso’s design principles of providing flexibility through multiple platforms, we have architected MyChoice using Java EE compatible components. This means that you have a choice of platform when deploying the solution in house.

Any browser that supports HTML 4.01, DOM Level 2, Cascading Style Sheets and client-side JavaScript may utilise MyChoice self-service. NorthgateArinso supports Microsoft IE6, IE7 or Mozilla FireFox 3.x. Other browsers may be used but remain untested at present.
