Background
NorthgateArinso Reward Solutions was selected to computerise the NHS Agenda for Change Job Evaluation system to support early implementation by 12 selected Trusts.

What we did
NorthgateArinso's internet based job evaluation platform was used for this assignment. Tasks undertaken included:

• Working with the JE working party, NorthgateArinso Reward Solutions developed an on line questionnaire and rule base to enable Trusts to conduct local evaluations on line;
• Enhancement of the system to enable Trusts to conduct evaluations by matching to national profiles;
• Design and development of a monitoring system to allow the JE working party to monitor the progress of early implementing Trusts and gauge the efficiency of the matching process;
• Development of a web based project environment for central news, documentation storage etc during the design of the system;
• Training of early implementing evaluation staff in the use of the system and its administration;
• Support of early implementing staff in the use of the software;
• Amendment of system on the basis of user feedback. This was expanded in September 2004 (under competitive tender) when NorthgateArinso Reward Solutions was selected to roll-out the system across over 600 NHS sites.

Outcome
The system was delivered on time and has been operational since June 2003. System availability has been in excess of 99.99%. Surveys of system users have revealed a high level of satisfaction in both the usability of the software and the support provided by NorthgateArinso Reward Solutions.

Following on from phase 1, NorthgateArinso Reward Solutions was awarded (under competitive tender) the National Rollout of the scheme to over 600 trusts in September 2004. The system went live on 4th January 2005 on-time and on-budget. The system has been in continual operation since this date and within the first 6 months of operation has been used for 200,000 evaluations across the NHS.
