Northgate acquires Link HR Systems

Founded in 1985, Link has established itself as a world leader in the field of reward software tools with over 1000 client installations on four continents. The company employs over 50 staff, based mainly at its Chester, UK headquarters, who will become Northgate Information Solutions employees as part of the acquisition agreement.

Link HR Systems develops and markets specialist reward software to support HR professionals in the areas of computer-assisted job evaluation, equal pay audits, reward structure design and costing and marketplace comparison. The company also provides consulting services, primarily in the UK, via its Link Reward Consultants division.

Mike Doodson, Group Sales & Marketing Director, Link HR Systems said: “The combined products and geographic reach will allow us to push the boundaries for our clients by providing the very best and latest reward tools to help HR departments keep pace with changing legislation, reduce their administrative burden and increase the strategic impact of their pay and grading decisions.”

The acquisition of Link HR Systems further strengthens the position of Northgate’s HR division as the UK’s largest supplier of HR, payroll and pensions systems and services.. Northgate Information Solutions now works with nearly 8,000 customers across both the Public and Private Sector, including solutions in over 50% of FTSE 100 businesses.
